Volunteers are needed for May 24!
Launch Pad, The Greater Binghamton Start-up Challenge is a program that gives area high school students the opportunity to develop innovative business ideas. Students create an idea, develop and write a business plan and present that idea to a panel of industry and community professionals. Students gain connections and experiences that create paths into the real business world. Presented by Modern Marketing & Commerce (MMC) and the Greater Binghamton Education Outreach Program (GBEOP), Launch Pad is celebrating its 13th year.
The students will have a tradeshow booth and then present their business to judges representing area businesses. Then there will be winners selected who will receive scholarships.
The event is on SUNY Broome’s campus on May 24 from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm and volunteers are needed for a variety of times and tasks. Tasks include judging business plans, welcoming students, giving directions, and ensuring students stay on schedule.
