SUNY Broome Women's volleyball team traveled to Sanborn for matches against Erie CC, Jamestown CC and Niagara County CC in a POD hosted by Niagara County CC.

The volleyball team traveled to Sanborn this weekend for matches against Erie CC, Jamestown CC and Niagara County CC in a POD hosted by Niagara County CC.

In the first match the Hornets faced Erie CC and lost by set scores of 11-25, 14-25, 25-21 and 24-26. Melissa Carden led the team in kills with 13 while Gabriella Bishop and Casie Kephart added 8 kills apiece. Bishop and Carden each had a team high 10 digs and Anna Tiberia had 26 assists. Carden had 2 solo blocks and one assisted block. Casie Kephart lead the team in aces with 3.

In the second match of the day Broome took on Jamestown and lost in straight sets by scores of 20-25, 16-25 and 17-25. Kephart led the offense with 9 kills followed by Bishop with 8 kills. Tiberia had 20 assists and led the team in digs with 15 and Josephine Dure had a team high 2 aces.

The final match of the day saw Broome bounce back against the host team, Niagara County CC. It took five sets to decide the match with Broome pulling out the 3-2 victory, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-9. Carden had 13 kills, 23 digs, 2 aces and 2 solo blocks. Tiberia had 30 assists and 23 digs and Dure added 7 kills, 3 aces and 2 solo blocks. Bishop had a team high 4 aces.
