The Holy month of Ramadan is the annual observance of fasting, reflection and charity for those of the Islamic faith. Beginning March 22 through April 20, based upon the siting of the moon, Muslims around the world will fast from sun up to sundown. It is believed that during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar the first verses of the Holy Scripture of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
