SUNY Broome Professor David Zeggert’s oil portrait of David Bowie

SUNY Broome Professor David Zeggert’s oil portrait of David Bowie has been accepted by Creative Quarterly 53, an international journal focusing on promoting the work of the creative community.

The portrait is an examination of Bowie’s look, inspired by the idea of revealing the construction of the portrait to terminus simultaneously existing as part of the painting. For example, the umber brushstroke that defines the collar was one of the original marks made.

Zeggert is a member of the Art and Design department, and teaches courses in Painting, Illustration and drawing. The publication will be available soon.
