Our local food pantries are struggling to meet the needs of our community. Supplies are lower and donations are fewer after the holiday season, and governmental uncertainty creates even more insecurity for our neighbors.
Phi Theta Kappa, our campus’s International Honor Society, would like to invite all campus members to bring an item of food to Student Activities Day on Feb. 14 for donation. Items will be collected at the Phi Theta Kappa table from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Baldwin Gym. All donations will then be taken to the CHOW warehouse after the event.
We would like to especially encourage the donation of baby food, formula, and diapers since pantries are often ill-stocked to assist our littlest neighbors in times of need. However, all non-perishable food donations with good expiration dates will be gratefully received.
