National Disability Employment Awareness Month, #NDEAM

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and the theme for 2022 is Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.

The President’s Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion invites YOU to share the reasons you celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month and how you see disability as part of the equity equation. If you are just learning about this important month and important issue, please share with us what you’ve learned!

What does NDEAM mean to you; how does your workplace or study place create equity for those with differing abilities; are you inspired by someone of differing abilities in your work, home or school life?

Post a pic and a statement to your Twitter or account with the #BroomeInclusionWorks tag and we’ll share as many as we can on the SUNY Broome National Disability Employment Awareness Month web page. You can also find announcements for NDEAM events and articles October by checking this page regularly.

Faculty and staff: Please check the tag for National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month on the Share your News form to have your event or article posted on this page.

Whether it’s a celebration, inspiration, or time for reflection, we’d like to know what National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month means to you!
