Broome broke their three game losing streak with a 4-1 victory against Erie CC

Broome broke their three game losing streak with a 4-1 victory out in Buffalo Wednesday afternoon against Erie CC.

Four different Hornets contributed on the scoreboard during the contest. Yuri Brich opened the scoring in the 21st minute of play courtesy of an assist from Eric Arduino. Jack Dyson struck next, 18 minutes later, assisted by Mateo Lata and Nathaniel Wojcik closed out the first half with an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute of play and a 3-0 halftime lead. Owen Moretin had the lone Hornet goal in the second half in the 58th minute.

Andrew Buckler and Jacob Waibel anchored the defensive efforts during the entire match and Eric Yingling helped seal the Hornet’s win with 7 saves in net. Broome improved to 2-4-0 on the season while Erie fell to 1-4-0.

The Hornet’s will host Finger Lakes CC this Sunday at 3:00 pm in a MSAC matchup on Alumni Field.
