Men’s basketball dropped to 2-6 against Region III opponents after a 104-56 loss to Genesee CC on Saturday afternoon in the Baldwin Gymnasium.

Genesee sits at third place in the Region with a 6-1 record. The Hornets started strong, pulling out to an early lead, but foul trouble plagued them as they struggled to keep their starters on the floor. Pressure defense from the Cougars late in the first half led to turnovers and easy baskets, helping them stretch the lead to 50-28 at halftime.

Cameron Irving-Miller also dished out 5 assists and James Rwamakuba contributed 8 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Broome travels to Corning CC on Wednesday for a MSAC contest scheduled for 7:00 pm.
