Marilyn Schafer, who spearheaded the creation of SUNY Broome’s Early Childhood Program, passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 88.
Marilyn inaugurated the Early Childhood Education program, serving as its initial Coordinator. In this role she created and led numerous teachers’ organizations and conferences that drew participants from across New York State and the Northeast.
Notice will be given of a memorial service for Marilyn to be held later in the year.
