Diana Pellegrino Roberts, a generous scholarship donor of SUNY Broome Theater since 2004, passed away on Dec. 1.

Diana took an acting class in 2002 and became an enthusiastic student in a number of theater classes, graduating with an AA degree in 2005.  She and her husband at the time, Jerry Roberts, made it possible for a number of graduating theater students to receive a substantial scholarship.

Even in her last days, Diana still managed to make a donation to the Pellegrino Scholarship for Excellence in Theater. Diana will be remembered too for the unusual items she donated to the theater in the form of props, costumes, theater books and offbeat theatrical memorabilia.

Professor Katherine Bacon will be forever grateful to her for her magnanimous spirit, how she inspired the other students, her great sensibility for all of the arts and how she made it possible for deserving theater students to be recognized for their work.
