It was an exciting day for our students at the SUNY Broome Health Sciences Division Career Expo.
All Health Sciences Division students had the opportunity to explore various career paths, network with local employers, and discover potential internship opportunities.
Our Radiologic Technology students arrived in style, descending the Decker stairs to the event in full force!
UHS, Guthrie, Upstate Medical University – Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Susquehanna Nursing, and many more local healthcare organizations graciously answered student questions about careers and employment opportunities.
While this Health Sciences Career Expo provided the chance for students to network and explore careers in healthcare, it was also wonderful to see SUNY Broome alum, Sara Cook, on the recruiting side of the table! Ms. Cook, the Manager of Practice Administration at Guthrie, is a proud graduate of our Medical Assisting program; our very own Erin O’Hara Leslie was her professor.
Many of our Health Studies students also discovered part-time positions they can even pursue while completing their degree programs. A current Health Sciences Division student noted that he “had never been to a networking event like this” and truly enjoyed the experience.
