Basement excavation and foundation work are ongoing at the historic Court Street building, known as the Carnegie Library. Electrical “rough-ins” are continuing, as well as any remaining selective demolition. The environmental remediation work has been completed, and the interior wood trim has been removed and salvaged.
The $19.8 million project is expected to be completed in August 2019, and involves more than $5 million in New Market and Historic Tax Credits and $10 million in community support. It also heralds the return of SUNY Broome to downtown Binghamton, where the
