Cooking for a cause Culinary Competition benefitting animal care, sanctuary, & Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton

Animal Care Sanctuary and the Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton are excited to host Cooking for a Cause at the SUNY Broome Culinary & Event Center on April 6 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This exciting event, open to the public, will feature live culinary competitions, celebrity chefs, professional judging, restaurant tasting stations, and much more — all in support of local nonprofits!

Event Highlights:

Live Cooking Competition: Watch three teams of local chefs and celebrities prepare a gourmet dish in just 30 minutes using a mystery protein.

Judging: The dishes will be judged by culinary professionals, including Maria Montemagno, Professor and Chair of the Hospitality Programs Department at SUNY Broome.

Tasting Stations: Sample delicious dishes from local restaurants and support community businesses.

Support Local Nonprofits

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Animal Care Sanctuary and the Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton. The first-place chef and celebrity team will choose a charity to receive a portion of the proceeds.
