Dr. Talovic

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Denisa Talovic, a distinguished faculty member in the Nursing Department at SUNY Broome Community College, was invited to join the prestigious National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) NCLEX-RN Item Writing Panel. This invitation recognizes Dr. Talovic’s extensive experience in nursing education and her significant contributions to advancing the standards of the nursing profession.
The NCSBN plays a pivotal role in shaping nursing practice across the United States by overseeing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), a vital assessment for determining the licensure eligibility of new nursing graduates. As an independent, not-for-profit organization for over 40 years, NCSBN is dedicated to ensuring that nurses meet essential competencies required for safe and effective practice, thus safeguarding public health and welfare. The NCLEX ensures that all nursing graduates nationwide are uniformly evaluated and meet high standards in clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and patient care skills.

Dr. Talovic’s invitation to participate in the NCLEX-RN Item Writing Panel is a testament to her expertise and her ongoing commitment to the nursing profession. As a panel member, she will contribute to the development of NCLEX-style questions, helping to shape the future of nursing licensure exams and ensuring that they continue to reflect the evolving demands of the healthcare landscape.

This prestigious selection not only highlights Dr. Talovic’s exceptional qualifications but also underscores SUNY Broome’s dedication to influencing nursing education and practice at a national level. It is an honor for our institution to have one of our own faculty members involved in this important work that impacts the future of nursing education and licensure nationwide.

We congratulate Dr. Talovic on this remarkable achievement and look forward to her valuable contributions to the advancement of nursing education and licensure standards.
