The men found themselves on the short end of a defensive game on Saturday against Herkimer College falling 61-46 before returning home on Sunday only to fall against Mohawk Valley CC 96-55.
On Saturday in Herkimer the Hornets kept the Generals in check throughout the first half, keeping the score low, but had a hard time connecting on their shots. Andrew Charles led the way for the Hornets with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3assists and 2 steals while playing all 40 minutes. Seth Roselle, Jr knocked in three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Cassidy Williamson-Chin contributed 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists while displaying a dominant defensive performance.
On Sunday the Hornets struggled to slow down the Mohawk Valley Hawks in the Baldwin Gym. The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Charles dropped 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds against the big Mohawk Valley frontline. Williamson-Chin continued his high level of defensive play with 4 steals and shot 75% from the field on the offensive end.
Broome will travel to Onondaga CC on Wednesday for a 7:00 pm contest against the Lazers.
