Broome County HEARS (Higher Education Access, Retention and Success) was selected as NASPA’s 2018-2019 NASPA Excellence Gold Award Winner for Off-Campus, Commuter, Non-traditional, Graduate, Professional, and related category.
The grant-funded program seeks to aid community members who wish to access higher education, students who dropped out before completing a degree and are looking to re-enroll, and those students who are eligible for a reverse-transfer Associate’s degree.
Each year, NASPA recognizes the outstanding contributions of members who are transforming higher education through exceptional programs, innovative services, and effective administration. NASPA’s Excellence Awards cover eleven categories crucial to the success of students and the continued growth of the student affairs profession.
