Broome will host Cayuga CC on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the opening round of the Region III Tournament. This will be the third meeting between the two MSAC teams this season.
The Hornets finished the season with a 12-10 overall record and 10-10 in Region III to earn the #7 seed while the Spartans came in at 6-18 overall and 6-14 in Region III to earn the #10 seed.
The Hornets got the best of the Spartans in their previous two meetings, a 57-42 win back on January 13 in Auburn and a 63-51 win on February 5 in Binghamton.
The winner of Saturday’s contest will travel to Saranac Lake on Tuesday to take on #2 seed North Country CC.
