Renowned authors Helen E. Battisti, PhD, RDN, Richard R. Terry, DO, MBA, and Francis L. Battisti, PhD, MSW, will be hosting a special Meet the Authors event on Thursday, October 17 at 6 p.m. at the Culinary & Event Center in downtown Binghamton. The event will be sponsored by SUNY Broome Community College.
The authors will be discussing their latest book, “Tomorrow’s Weigh: The No-Diet Way to Lose Weight, Second Edition.” This thought-provoking work delves into the pervasive issue of starvation in today’s society, challenging the conventional notions of weight loss and dieting.
“Tomorrow’s Weigh” offers a unique perspective on the detrimental effects of diet culture, highlighting how our attitudes, social norms, and popular media can lead to unhealthy eating habits and negative body image. Instead of promoting restrictive diets and quick fixes, the authors propose a holistic approach to weight management that emphasizes sustainable lifestyle changes and overall well-being.
This event provides an opportunity for readers to connect with the authors, learn more about their research, and gain valuable insights into healthy living.
Date: Thursday, October 17
Time: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
