The Toastmasters Club at SUNY Broome, Speakers of the House, will be holding a Tall Tales Contest:
Date: Friday, September 26
Time: 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Titchener 205
Here is Toastmasters’ description of a tall tales contest: True Lies.
They are fun, exaggerated 3-5 minute story speeches.
Two current students will be competing against an alumnus who is a tutor in the Nursing program. All are members of the club. The student contestants will be Bryson Castro and Ian Thomas. The tutor contestant will be Mike Buffone.
The winner of the contest will advance to the Area Contest, competing against the winners from other local clubs.
If you have been curious about what Toastmasters can do for your speaking skills, plan to come to cheer on our members on Friday!
