Thirty-three Cecils author/screenwriter to speak at SUNY Broome

Everett De Morier, author and screenwriter of Thirty-three Cecils, will be speaking about the art of scriptwriting on Wednesday March 16 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the campus of SUNY Broome.

Mr. De Morier’s presentation will begin at 3:00 pm in Titchener Hall room 101. He will be joined by Kelly Fancher who will be speaking about the inner workings of the film industry.

Thirty-three Cecils is set to be filmed in Greater Binghamton this Spring. According to his biography, De Morier’s first novel, Thirty-Three Cecils, won the top fiction prize at the London Book Festival, was named book of the year by Heroic Magazine, and was required High School reading. The film rights to this novel were sold and it is currently in development as a feature film through Sunset River Productions with a tentative 2021 release date.
