Please join the SUNY-Broome Theater Club for their year-end performance of the hilarious legal comedy 12 Incompetent Jurors.
This 2010 play, by Ian McWethy, parodies the classic 12 Angry Men, centering the plot on a kitten-napping case between two neighbors. The jurors are a motley crew: an easily distractible foreman (Asphalt Larson), a panic-stricken bundle of nerves (Annalisa Kuklis), a chain smoking Russian (Kirsten Groats), a bickering couple from New Jersey (Kylie McLennan & Cooper Ely), a flashy PR agent (Harper Leyba), and a would-be voice of justice (Cameron Cole), for starters. The deliberations quickly go off the rails as one juror presents a series of increasingly fantastic scenarios –including dinosaurs, taxidermy, and George Lucas — to sway their fellows, to the particular dismay of the one reasonable person in the room (Olivia Ketzak). Other cast members include: Victoria Milk, Darian Ely, Sasha Lofthouse, and Magnolia Beeman, with vocal performances by Liiland Boldiis, Brian Smith, Abby Molineux, and Sebastian Quarella.
