The A to Z Players Present Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap

May 2 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap

The A to Z Players, the new student theater group at SUNY-Broome Community College, is proud to announce their Spring 2025 production of Agatha Christie’s classic whodunit, The Mousetrap.

A woman has been murdered in London, the radio says. But young couple Mollie and Giles Ralston (Lizzy Harley and Thomas Hughes) are too distracted to notice as they plan the big opening of their rural guesthouse, Monkswell Manor. The snow is coming down fast, and they’re still not quite prepared when their visitors start to arrive: a colorful young architect (Sean Haggerty), a fault-finding dowager (Nyx Benedict), an jovial military man (Asphalt Larsen), and a young woman (Angel Harmon). A car stuck in a snowdrift adds a colorful stranger (Dylan Heier). When the local police detective (Annie McNulty) arrives, the party is complete. What follows is a mix of comedy, mystery, deception, murder, and a long-ago crime with an enduring shadow.

Few shows in theatrical history have the sustained popularity which has made The Mousetrap the longest-running play in the world. It is a masterpiece by the “Queen of Crime” Agatha Christie, whose works continue to intrigue and entertain readers and audiences worldwide. Christie’s world of unforgettable characters and red herrings lets the audience puzzle along with this colorful cast of characters.

The Mousetrap will be performed at the Angelo Zuccolo Little Theater, in the Student Center on the SUNY-Broome Community College campus, Upper Front Street, Binghamton, NY.

Shows are at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday May 4.

Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for students, seniors, and members of the military. SUNY-Broome students attend for free.

The A to Z Players (formerly the SUNY-Broome Theater Club) is funded by SUNY-Broome Student Activities. The play is a production of the THR 246 class in the Department of Music & Theatre Arts, and is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
