Storytelling and Heritage Exhibit Opens at the Gallery @ SUNY Broome.

Opening reception, with meet and greet of students and faculty from the US and Mexico, on June 8, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

All campus employees and community members are invited to the reception and gallery exhibit opening.

We invite you to bring a part of your U.S. heritage or the heritage of your ancestors to share in the form of food to welcome our Mexican guests.

Think about traditional foods at your family gatherings (Grandma’s WWII rationing cookies, strawberry pretzel jello, watermelon, ambrosia salad, ham roll ups, Swedish meatballs, King cake, Santa Lucia cookies…). Do you have a story that goes along with it?

You can even choose to compete for “Best Sweet Treat,” “Best Savory Snack” and “Best Story.”
