The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals is a reciprocal exchange for career-minded young adults, and is supported by both the U.S. Congress and the Bundestag (German Parliament). Every year 75 college-aged Americans go to Germany and 75 college-aged Germans come to the U.S. to take part in this cultural and educational exchange.
American participants are between the ages of 18 and a half and 24 at the beginning of the program, are all U.S. citizens, and have at least a high school diploma, though many are enrolled in or have graduated from college.
Participants are selected for their sense of diplomacy and national identity, strong interest in Germany, and clearly defined career goals.
Participants study and intern in a broad range of career fields and come from all over the U.S.
