Recently retired, New York Post Media Columnist, Keith Kelly, has had his pulse on the NYC and national media establishment for over 23 years.
On his retirement in 2021, The New York Times wrote, “His column, Media Ink, appeared on Wednesdays and Fridays and became a must-read for many in Manhattan, especially those in magazine publishing. It was where you might find out that your editor in chief was about to get “the ol’ heave-ho,” to use Kelly parlance, or that the publication you worked for was getting sold.”
Kelly refuses to gather moss in retirement. His latest effort on the freelance front involves a high-powered PR firm’s secret purchase of an industry news site to tout itself and bash rivals. The article caused such a stir that the New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America issued a blistering condemnation of this unscrupulous behavior. And the whole controversy was picked up by the Drudge Report.
