Mehdi Saeedi Lecture and Workshop

SUNY Broome, in collaboration with Binghamton University’s Center for Middle East and Africa Studies, present internationally renowned graphic designer Mehdi Saeedi. Combining his expertise in graphic design, typography, and calligraphy, Saeedi transforms Perso-Arabic script into various forms, creating unique concepts in both and and graphic design.

The lecture is followed by a three-day calligraphy workshop on April 9-11, where participants will be “Exploring the Art of Persian Calligraphy and Composition.” It is here that participants will create visually engaging compositions on canvas through the use of Persian calligraphy.
