Are you curious about Arabic and the Middle East? Would you like to learn a few words and phrases in Arabic? Would you like to start speaking in Arabic to friends or family? Or would you like an easy introduction to the language and culture before you begin more intensive study?
Whatever your interest level, please join us for a series of FREE Arabic Language and Culture Workshops! No previous knowledge nor experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm! These non-credit bearing workshops are open to students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the community. Come and enjoy learning in a fun, casual environment!

Location: The Gallery@SUNY Broome Library
Workshops will be run by Barwar Ibrahim of the American Civic Association, in Binghamton, NY. After relocating to the Binghamton area from Duhok, Kurdistan, Barwar earned a Master of Science in Human Rights from Binghamton University. He continues to focus his efforts on humanitarian rights as a Kurdish, Arabic and English translator.
