COIL International Partnering Fair for Faculty

As the world continues to shrink and to become more interdependent, have you thought about adding to one of your classes an international connection with another college class elsewhere in the world? SUNY has a large Global Network of colleagues interested in bringing their classes together with yours, either synchronously or asynchronously.

Have you been curious about COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning)? Collaborations can range from a small project / connection, to a semester-long partnership, to COIL plus travel in one or both directions.

SUNY COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) is putting together a partnering bulletin and is hosting a Zoom partnering fair to meet a potential collaborating faculty member from SUNY’s Global Network.

Submit your information by Feb 5, to be included in the partnering bulletin.

OR,  register to participate in the partnering fair, which will be held on Feb 11 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Finally, if you’d like to see COIL in action, reach out to Kathleen McKenna (mckennakm@sunybroome.edu), and arrange to visit her Effective Speaking class on a Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. She’s been collaborating via Zoom with a class in Celaya, Mexico, for about 10 years.
