2025 YMCA Corporate Challenge

SUNY Broome is sending a team to the YMCA’s annual Corporate Challenge fundraiser on Thursday, June 12 that will also be hosted here at SUNY Broome! Those of you who have joined us in the past will know why we’re excited and to those new to the event, don’t miss out on the fun!!

Corporate Challenge is a series of races that are participated in by dozens of local businesses. All funds raised support the hundreds of thousands of dollars given back to our community through the YMCA’s financial assistance program.

Individual racers receive awards for each event, and the top three companies will receive a trophy at the end of the evening, including one for the Team Spirit Award. It’s a great opportunity for team building with a little friendly competition thrown in!

There are four races available, and staff can participate in multiple events.

• 5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m. 5K Road Race – a 3.1-mile race around the SUNY Broome campus
• 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Predicted Mile – racers predict their one-mile time at registration, and the winners are chosen based on the most accurate predicted times
• 7:30 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Relay Race – a three-mile race with three racers each covering one mile
• 8:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Executive Mile – a one-mile road race open to senior staff members

**To be guaranteed a complimentary race t-shirt, you must be registered by Thursday, May 29 at 4 p.m., although registration is open until Monday, June 9.**
