On Oct. 20 at 3:00 pm, the campus community will be holding a dedication ceremony for the Dr. Battisti Student Reflection Area between the Natural Science Center and the Calice Advanced Manufacturing Center. This dedication honors Dr. Francis Battisti’s long-standing commitment to the college and his nearly 50 years at SUNY Broome as a student, professor, and administrator.
The construction of the pergola and surrounding area was made possible with donations from friends, family, and colleagues of Dr. Battisti in honor of his retirement from SUNY Broome. The goal for this area was to create a peaceful outdoor reflection space on campus, where students, faculty, and staff can gather for conversation and connection.
