SUNY Broome Women's Basketball Wins Big against Tompkins Cortland In First Game Back From Break

The women’s basketball team defeated Tompkins Cortland CC 65-51 on the road on Sunday in its first game back from the holiday break.

The Hornets led wire to wire and saw three players score in double figures in the win. Adrianna Finta led the team with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Alyvia Heath had 11 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Natalie Andi had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

SUNY Broome led 30-22 at halftime. After maintaining an eight-point lead heading into the final quarter, the Hornets extended their advantage to 10 points or more for the majority of the fourth to pull away.

The Hornets outrebounded the Panthers 51-27 and shot 47.4% from the field while limiting Tompkins Cortland to 31.8% shooting. SUNY Broome was also 87.5% (7-8) at the free throw line.

SUNY Broome will look to make it two wins in a row when it hosts Finger Lakes CC this Thursday at 5 p.m.
