mindfulness

Week 10- two thirds of the way done with the semester. There are only 5 weeks left – you’ve got this!

Check in with yourself- how are you feeling? How is life going?

Week 10 things start to get a little crunchy – students are stressed, instructors are stressed. Graduation is looming, students may not be doing as well in classes as they thought.

Be patient – be kind – we can all get through this together.

Wellness Wednesday out of the Counseling Corner:

We are keeping with the same activity from Mindful Monday this week. A little bit of intention, self-reflection can help us feel centered and balanced which can impact our overall wellness in a positive way.

Powerful questions to ask at the close of the day

Closing out the day with some mindful thinking and intentional questions may help you to ease stress, stay focused and center yourself. It may help you plan for tomorrow and improve your ability to handle all that this time in the semester is throwing at you.

  • What was the most important thing I did today?
  • Did I give someone my presence and attention when it was needed? Or did I do something well at work?
  • What gave me the most joy today?
  • What caused me the most inner conflict and stress?
  • What am I grateful for?

This helps you to know what parts of life are out of whack with your inner most values. Counseling Services can help- Call +1 (607) 778-5210 or email us at counselingservices@sunybroome.edu, or check us out at Counseling Services to schedule an appointment with one of our trained professionals.
