Meet Sasha Asinovsky, SUNY Broome’s new Student Trustee! Sasha is from Johnson City, but spent the majority of his childhood in Brooklyn. He returned to the Southern Tier to attend SUNY Broome to study both Engineering Science: A.S. and Liberal Arts and Sciences: Science: A.S. SUNY Broome was not only an affordable and accessible option for Asinovsky, but also student-centered.
“I really appreciate all of the relationships that I have built with my faculty,” Asinovsky said. “I’ve always felt welcome on campus.”
SUNY Broome also helped Sasha to figure out his future career. As a Liberal Arts and Sciences: Science: A.S. student, Asinovsky was able to take a variety of courses to explore his options.
Regarding his new position as Student Trustee, Asinovsky is most looking forward to gaining insight into the inner workings of the College’s administration and being able to voice the student body’s concerns to those who can help create change. Welcome to the BOT, Sasha!
