United Way of Broome County (UWBC) and the US Department of Defense are teaming up for the Innovation Readiness Training Program. This August, the military will be setting up a 10 day mission at SUNY Broome to provide various services to community members (health, dental, veterinary, etc.).
UWBC is looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of projects including traffic directing on Upper Front Street and various SUNY Broome parking lots, indoor traffic directing to various services and tabling events, as well as a few volunteers to provide water, snacks and breaks to the group.
View the 3 volunteer groups. Individuals can sign up directly on the platform and will be kept up to date with any changes/needs.
UWBC is looking to have volunteers in shifts, starting August 11-20, with August 10 being a training day for any volunteers serving as “leaders”.
