Two of our own Human Services students have gone above and beyond this holiday season giving back to their community. Nicole Nordstrom and Alexandria Partridge are currently interning with Endicott-based nonprofit, RISE.

RISE, formally known as the SOS Shelter, is an organization that assists families who have experienced, or have been threatened with, domestic violence. RISE services aim to bring community awareness around the topic of domestic violence and the impact of this persuasive problem.

Just last week, Nordstrom and Partridge organized a donation drive for RISE clients. They collected luggage, bags, clothing, personal care items, food items, and more. We are so proud of their dedication to this cause and our community. What a wonderful reminder of the ‘reason for the season’!
