On or about Monday, April 5: shoulder work on the I-81 NB exit and entrance ramps. This will involve traffic lane shifts to complete the work but should not result in a reduction in available lane widths or a significant impact to traffic flows.

On or about Monday, April 19: shoulder work starting on the southbound side of Route 11, from the bridge over I-81 to Bevier St. Northbound lanes will remain mostly unaffected during this time. The southbound Route 11 traffic will maintain the current lane width of 12’ but reduce the available shoulder width to 1’. The southbound dedicated left turn lane to Bevier St. will no longer be available as this will be utilized to carry both southbound traffic through the intersection and left turning traffic to Bevier St., so minor impacts to traffic flow should be expected. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be directed around the project area, utilizing the pedestrian bridge and Old Front St. while work is ongoing.

On or about Friday, April 23: the Bevier St. Intersection is scheduled to be closed for a 24-hour period to allow the contractor time to reconstruct the roadway in that area. During this time there will be continuous work on going, including nighttime work. Northbound and southbound Route 11 traffic will be maintained through this work area with one lane, each direction. The current lane width of 12’ will remain, but the available shoulder widths will be reduced to 1’. Impacts to traffic are anticipated during this time. Traffic intending to enter or exit Bevier St. at the Bevier St./Route 11 intersection will be detoured via I-81 and Route 7 to navigate around this work area. There will be detour signs and variable message panels in place to help guide motorists through the area. The entrance to Otsiningo Park will remain open for vehicle traffic during this time, access will be from the Chenango St. and river bridge side. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic access from Route 11 to Bevier St. will remain open.
