Welcome back to tIDbits, a series of brief tips and tricks from your Instructional Designers in the TRC.

Looking to get better student performance in your courses? Accessibility is the answer!

Accessibility helps more people than we realize! If you ever watch videos with the captions on, even though you do not need them, you know exactly what we are talking about. Accessibility gives everyone options.

On February 6, SUNY will launch SUNY’s Inclusion Quest, a year-long initiative designed to enhance digital accessibility across the SUNY system with a kickoff webinar. Partnered with Deque University, this session will introduce faculty and staff to powerful accessibility training resources that help remove digital barriers for learners.

Throughout the year, this initiative will then involve a series of engaging workshops, interactive training sessions, collaborative projects, and examples provided by faculty. Learn how Deque’s tools can support your work, and discover how you can participate in this exciting initiative. Register now and start your journey toward a more inclusive digital environment! To learn more about Deque and its partnership with SUNY visit the SUNY/ Deque website.

If you would like to work on your  Accessibility needs with SUNY Broome’s Instructional Designers, please fill out the  Instructional Designer Support Request Form or stop in to the TRC for office hours to get one to one assistance.
