The Hornet Hope Center Challenge – Sponsored by the Dean of Students
With the holiday season right around the corner the Civic Engagement Committee is excited to announce the 2nd annual Hornet Hope Center Food Drive Challenge, starting Monday, October 27, 2025!
How to get involved: Scan the OR code and fill out the form for your team!
1. Create a team! It can be a department, office, or a group of colleagues!
2. Designate a contact person for your team(Team Captain).
3. Submit the Hornet Hope Center Challenge Sign Up form.
4. Challenge your team to contribute generously to our campus food pantry.
Food Drive Schedule: Signup NOW until 11/17/2025!
Week 1: Oct. 27 – 31
Week 2: Nov. 3 – 7
Week 3: Nov.10 -14
Week 4: Nov.17- 21
A list of popular food pantry items can be viewed on the Buzz/social media & on the Hornet Hope Center webpage.
Monetary donations are also welcome! Donate through the SUNY Broome Foundation by selecting Hornet Hope Center and adding your team’s name in the indicated box.
Feel free to donate other food items, hygiene products, clothing & household items. No expired food please!
Cash donations are also welcome!
Hornet Hope Center Challenge Categories:
1. Highest number of pounds donated for the week
2. Most cash collected for the week
3. Best meal idea/ recipe that could be created from your team’s donations
The Team Captains will be the main point of contact, More information will be sent directly to them!
