Our good friends from the SUNY Center for Professional Development (CPD) visited the Teaching Resource Center and Professional Development on Friday, September 27 to talk about their extensive professional learning opportunities and to welcome our new CIO, Barbara Munger.
SUNY Broome has a robust and longstanding partnership with the CPD; many of our faculty and staff have completed courses and certificate programs on topics including online teaching and learning, inclusive teaching and learning, student supports and coaching strategies, change leadership, and many more. SUNY CPD are seeking to understand campus level professional development needs in the ever-evolving higher education landscape.
Professional Development looks forward to growing our partnership with the CPD in the areas of change management/leadership, front line service and support, and everyone’s new favorite topic, artificial intelligence (AI), where our own instructional designer Robert Becker has provided support to the CPD as we learn how to navigate this newer technology in its myriad forms.
Thank you to (pictured, from left to right): Director of SUNY Center for Professional Development Lisa Raposo, Student Success Program Manager Jennifer Snyder, and Technical Programs Coordinator Kris Lynch for stopping by!
