SUNY Broome’s Nursing Program was recently reaccredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Accreditation is a lengthy process, involving site visits and evaluation by a peer review board. The next scheduled accreditation review will be in 2024.

“Nursing is one of our most academically competitive programs here at SUNY Broome, and one that has a great impact in our community,” said SUNY Broome President Kevin E. Drumm. “I would like to commend our Dean of Health Sciences Amy Brandt and our Nursing Program Chair Susan Siebold-Simpson, as well as all our Nursing faculty, for their hard work on this critical effort.”

“It was an intense and rewarding experience that gave the program wonderful feedback on how we can continue to develop our curriculum to meet the emerging needs of the nursing profession,” said Dr. Amy Brandt, Associate Vice President and Dean of Health Sciences and Distance Learning.
