SUNY Broome was a force to be reckoned with at the 2025 SUNYCUAD Awards for Excellence, held on Thursday, June 5 in Rochester! SUNYCUAD is a peer network within the SUNY system for professionals in the areas of advancement, alumni engagement, community outreach, development, public and government relations, communications, and marketing.

The organization’s annual conference includes Awards for Excellence to recognize the very best creative and strategic campaigns from across the system. More than 250 submissions were judged by a team of alumni relations and marketing colleagues from across SUNY’s 64 campuses. SUNY Broome brought back to campus seven awards in total, highlighting the Foundation and MarCom teams’ ability to create, engage, and inspire!

While these awards are often claimed by SUNY’s University Centers, the small but-mighty teams from SUNY Broome’s Foundation and MarCom offices reminded all in attendance that creative, talented professionals from small institutions can do a lot with a little!

Using the evolution of the Hornet Hope Center as an example, the duo described how rallying to support a vital campus resource spurred community partnerships, a six-figure gift, and campus-wide engagement.

Please join us in congratulating our colleagues for their outstanding work on behalf of SUNY Broome!
