On Monday, August 10, at 11 a.m., Congressman Richard Hanna will present 29 students from Broome, Chenango, Herkimer, and Tioga counties with his office’s own Congressional Commendation, as well as the participation and awards certificates earned this year at the Dr. Nelson Ying Tri Region Science and Engineering Fair (Ying TRSEF).

The reception will be held in Room 201 in the Decker Health Science Center at SUNY Broome. In addition, the directors of the 22nd Congressional District’s science fairs will be honored for their crucial efforts to engage their students in hands-on research and design at the regional level, including SUNY Broome Biology faculty member Dr. Jen Musa, chair of the Southern Tier Scholastic Science Fair.
