Congratulations

Each year, SUNY Broome and colleges across the nation are notified about the All USA/Coca-Cola/Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships competition that awards nearly $500,000 in scholarships annually.

This year, two categories were up for nomination for the All USA Academic team: students preparing for the workforce in career technical majors and those preparing to transfer to the senior institution.

SUNY Broome is pleased to announce, we have nominated three outstanding members of our community:

Jacqueline Colombo: Nominated for Transfer scholarship. Jacqueline is majoring in Education, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She plans to transfer to Binghamton University for a Master’s in Education. Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher.

Makarii Yurkiv: Nominated for Transfer scholarship, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa, this Engineering major plans to transfer to Binghamton University. Makarii hopes to work on nuclear fusion research at ITER.

Motayuisha Kollock: Nominated for Workforce scholarship, Motayuisha is currently majoring in business, management, marketing, administration and related support services. She plans to become an accountant after graduation, and one day opening her own salon.
