Congratulations!

SUNY Broome’s Radiologic Technology degree program has maintained its accreditation for the next eight years.

The decision was rendered by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the only agency recognized by the United State Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance and medical dosimetry.

Specialized accreditation awarded by JRCERT offers institutions significant value by providing peer evaluation and by assuring the public of quality professional education in the radiologic sciences. SUNY Broome’s next site visit is tentatively scheduled for 2023.

“Accreditation is a lengthy, arduous process but critical to ensuring that our programs are of the utmost quality,” said SUNY Broome President Kevin E. Drumm. “Students enrolled in programs like radiologic technology can rest assured that they will develop the skills and knowledge needed in their field, and that every single credit counts toward their professional success. It was an outstanding job done by our Rad Tech faculty with Health Sciences Division support!”

“On behalf of the Administration, I would like to thank our dedicated Health Sciences faculty and staff members for their work in achieving the JRCERT reaccreditation,” said Vice President of Academic Affairs Penny Haynes. “It’s truly a team effort.”
