October is Physical Therapy Month and the SUNY Broome Physical Therapist Assistant Club celebrated by participating in the Annual Global PT Day of Service. This year the students and faculty chose to put together “care baskets” for the ICU staff at UHS (Wilson and BGH) and Lourdes hospitals. It has been a difficult couple of years for these local heroes. The students wanted to give back just a little bit to make sure these individuals knew they were seen and appreciated for their hard work and dedication.
The students and faculty collected gift cards, hair ties, lotion and plenty of goodies to share. They received outside donations from Price Chopper (fruit baskets), Outback Steak House, Front Street Starbucks, Johnson City Walmart and Frito Lay.
The students delivered these baskets on Friday October 8, 2021.
