In celebration of SUNY Reconnect, New York State’s Free Community College initiative, SUNY Broome welcomed the community for an evening of family-friendly fun. The 2nd Annual SUNY Broome Social for Students & Families invited prospective students and their families to campus to enjoy FREE food and activities, and learn about SUNY Reconnect’s life-changing educational opportunities for adult learners (age 25 – 55).

More than 260 guests were treated to dinner and dessert by The Kitchen Counter and The Cone Connection. Adult learners were able to connect with campus resources in preparation for the Fall 2026 semester, while the youngest attendees took advantage of complimentary facepainting, lawn games, a photobooth, and bounce slide.
