Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger joined with SUNY Broome Community College President Kevin Drumm Wednesday to announce a new articulation agreement for SUNY Broome students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the University’s School of Management (SOM). Under the agreement, 25 qualified SUNY Broome students will be guaranteed acceptance into a bachelor’s degree program at SOM each year, beginning in fall 2021.

“I’m thrilled that Binghamton University and SUNY Broome have partnered together to offer this truly world-class transfer opportunity to our business administration students,” said SUNY Broome President Kevin Drumm. “Not only does this landmark 2+U agreement guarantee our best and brightest business students access to a very selective and highly ranked business school, it also demonstrates the quality of a SUNY Broome business education. This agreement is a big win-win for both of our schools and for our local community.”

In an effort to better serve transfer students intending to pursue programs of study with SOM, SUNY Broome students pursuing an associates in business administration can enroll in SOM through the University’s 2+U guaranteed transfer admissions program.

“I’m excited to announce another articulation agreement with our brother school at SUNY Broome,” said Stenger. “The School of Management offers competitive bachelor’s degree programs, and I’m happy to extend this opportunity to SUNY Broome students, as this will impact many students from the local area.”

“This partnership will bring to SOM a stable of qualified and exceptional students from SUNY Broome,” said School of Management Dean Upinder Dhillon. “I look forward to their arrival and the unique perspective that these students will bring into the program.”

All students who participate in the Binghamton University 2+U program are expected to complete all coursework at SUNY Broome until meeting the academic requirements to successfully transfer into Binghamton University.
