SUNY Broome is now using hireHornets for all on-campus student jobs.
Whether your office hires Federal Work-Study students or uses College funding this will be the go-to site for students to find job opportunities on campus!
The Financial Aid Office will be instructing students to go to hireHornets when they have been awarded funding … so be sure to have your job(s) posted no later than August 13th so students can apply for your positions! It will be each department’s responsibility to post and update their postings each semester.
Please use the attached guide to create your account in hireHornets.
If you already have an established account, sign in to your account to post your available Federal Work-Study or Student Employment position at SUNY Broome hireHornets.
This is the central hub for all student positions at SUNY Broome. The Financial Aid Office will be directing students to hireHornets to look for positions on campus.
*** In the job description, please indicate if the position is a Federal Work-Study funded position or a College funded position. ***
Here are a few tips to help you:
- For the company name please do not name simply “SUNY Broome”. Please include your office in the company name.
Example: SUNY Broome Financial Aid Office - Indicate how you would like students to apply.
- Please explain what the job would entail.
- The current hourly rate for student employees is $13.00 / hour.
We will be hosting a Virtual and On-Campus Employment fair the first week of classes! Be on the lookout for details on how to register for both events soon!
Please plan to attend so that you can meet and engage with potential student employees!
