Breaking Boundaries Through Creative Arts
The Lomas Music and Art Festival features creative work that defies categorization and highlights the commonalities between various styles, genres, and groups. The festival sources musicians and artists from cities across rural NY state, gathering them in Oneonta for an outdoor event of live art, vendors, food, and of course — music.

The 2026 Lomas Festival is
Date: Saturday September 5
Time: noon – 4 p.m.
Location: an outdoor event located next to Foothills Performing Arts Center at 24 Market Street in Oneonta NY
Admission is free, $20 donation or more is suggested on entry. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Lawn chairs are welcome, seating is not provided. The event is rain or shine — rain location is inside the Foothills Atrium.
Join Assistant Professor Brett Masteller alongside visionary drummer Blake Fleming (co-founder of The Mars Volta, Laddio Boloko, and Dazzling Killmen) for an exploratory musical performance. Together, the duo weaves electronic processing and live acoustic instrumentation into heavy, primal grooves and evolving ambient layers.
