suny broome faculty and staff

Work on the Middle States Self-Study process continues as the Steering Committee and Working Group memberships have been finalized.  The Steering Committee met earlier in the semester to review the Self-Study Design prior to submission to Middle States and Work Group Kick-Off meetings have begun!

The Steering Committee, in collaboration with the Self-Study Leads, Dr. Penny Kelly, Dr. Kimberly McLain, and Dr. Lee Heron, will provide leadership for the overall Self-Study process. The Committee will work with Working Groups to identify institutional strengths, challenges, and areas of opportunity related to the achievement of the College’s mission, as well as help coordinate and review the draft and final Self-Study report.

Work Groups will collaborate with one another to identify, collect, and assess evidence demonstrating the College’s compliance with their assigned standard. Groups will review processes, policies, procedures, and supporting documentation relevant to those outlined in their assigned standard. Working Group members play a key role in strengthening our institution as in addition to recommending evidence that supports the College’s compliance, they will also help the Steering Committee identify any gaps or areas for improvement.

Thank you to our colleagues on the Steering Committee and Working Groups who have agreed to serve in this important endeavor for the College.
